About Us

Enhancing ICU Care and Hospital Performance with Board-Certified Intensivists

The Leapfrog Group recommends staffing ICUs with board-certified or board-eligible intensivists to ensure top-tier care. Noncompliance can lead to substandard care, hospital downgrades, and weakened negotiation power with third-party payers. ICU on Demand addresses these challenges, enhancing patient safety in a setting where most hospital deaths and overnight expenses occur.

With the national shortage of intensivists, especially in smaller hospitals, our service fills critical gaps—covering after-hours care and improving Leapfrog ratings, making it easier to recruit and retain local intensivists.

How Does it Work?

Quality Control

We prioritize high-quality care with top-tier physicians. To maintain standards, random sampling of consultations is performed. If any hospital staff or administration has concerns about a physician’s performance, they can report it via a dedicated hotline.

If a physician’s response time or care quality is unsatisfactory, they are temporarily removed pending an investigation. Repeated issues will lead to permanent removal from our roster. Additionally, we monitor nosocomial infections and offer proven protocols to reduce rates, tracking the impact of our consultations on patient outcomes.
